My roommate and I are good friends, I would probably consider her one of my best friends if she would stop making fun of me and being so opinionated.
I have a facebook, and I have a decent headshot of me on there, and my profile is private (friends only), but in a search, you can still see my picture. Regardless of how much skin i’m NOT showing, the wierdos scouring the internet for dates still send me friend requests, which would annoy any girl who’s not looking to have 2,283,339 internet "friends." I complained about it once and she then said that she never (she really emphasized "never") has that problem b/c she has a picture of a cartoon up and doesn’t have any pictures of herself up. So apparently, it’s bad for me to put up a decent, non skin showing, picture of myself for my friends to remember me by… You want people to remember you at your best, right?
Another time, the news on TV was discussing a soap opera actor who got caught wearing a thong during filming. He claimed his shirt got caught in his butt cheeks. I said out loud, "how can a shirt get lost in your butt cheeks?" and she heard it as, "how can can a thong get lost in your butt cheeks?" She then said that it is possible, if you have a big butt, and pointed out that I don’t have any butt at all. Another time, I received a Victoria’s Secret catalog and she pointed out that she saw underwear that I like (boyshorts, but cut even higher) in there. She then asked if the underwear really fit me like how it fit the models, I said yes, and she said, "really?" Basically insinuating and pointing out that I once again, have no butt.
I think she’s jealous of me, to be honest. She’s about 5′9 and 220 pounds, which makes her nearly obese from what I’ve read. She doesn’t excercise or do much to take care of herself. When we go out in public, she says people stare at her and give her dirty looks. Once, we were talking about women acting petty or being jealous towards other women, and she says, "Well I don’t have that problem because I’m a big tall person; no one wants to mess with me."
Her boyfriend is overweight with a huge gut as well, but she thinks he’s healthy, not fat, and muscular when he doesn’t work out either, and plays hockey once or twice a week if he’s lucky. She’s even caught him emotioally cheating on her twice.
I never say anything about her weight or what she’s lacking in appearance. How should I deal with her?
Gay men and nasty girls talk,?

in my work place, there is gay guy who joined a work group of 4 females and since then I can hear them talking nasty girl talk with him. on the first day he came in they were actually talking about not wearing underwear under their uniforms to seduce men !!!!! and today (which is only my third occasion there, they were talking about menses and one girl were saying that she needs a pad, and they all kept joking about and they were saying some stuff like " last month I was just pouring, blah blah".Totaly disregarding he is in fact a man regardless of sexual orientation.
offcourse they don’t say such things when they know I am or any other straight man around. but for some reason it is ok to discuss these things with him because he is Gay.
Also is it appropriate for him to join this conversation???
We also have a lesbian coworker but we guys don’t discuss such nasty guy’s business in front of her, she is still a woman regardless that she is very musculine.

ok so let me put it this way, I am VERY comfortable discussing menses with them and it doesn’t offend me at all. why did they all shut up when they knew I am around.
My question is, would you talk about such things with me, I am comfortable with it, if not, why not???
The whole things seems very stupid for me, a man is a man regardless of sexual orientation, if it is impolite to talk about such things in front of men, then gays shouldn’t be an exception.
And the final question what if he was BI. would it still be appropriate???
