The duramax sucks at towing, the front end sucks, and they are the least reliable engine. Cummins needs a new body and tranny and it would own the diesel world. Powerstroke has the happy medium….decent towing and dependibility with a nice body and interior.

  • SleeperLBZ:

    Hahaha…keep thinkin that.

  • SleeperLBZ:

I’ll agree with you on that!! lol Most of them prolly aren’t even 18yrs old yet either!

  • bigbob3288:

i disagree with you (fc1wrestler) i have yet to see a d-max make 2000HP. and as for you scduramax444 i can afford either one but common sense tells anyone that has it to go with a cummins. if you can put in 50G’s and run 10’s in a d-max imagine what 50G’s will do in a cummins. can you say UNTOUCHABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • justinthejerkoff:

Lulz XD You say that like nobody has ever put 50Gs into a Cummins… I haven’t seen one perform well enough to bother yet.

    Moron.

    “Least reliable engine”
hahah you really dont know jack shit do you? Anyone who knows anything about diesels knows that ford and their 6L motors are the least reliable. Why do you think they sell for so cheap?
Honestly man, dont talk if you dont know…..ya donkey!

  • nathan1360:

I said nothing about the 6.0. I know that engine sucked.

  • SuperMuise:

I didn’t say it was just the “6.0″ that sucks. ALL the 6L motors that ford/international produced are nothing but a pain in the ass and are un-reliable.
If you knew anything about what you were flappin your gums about you would know that the cummins runs the show, followed by the d-max.
Powerstroke is known as Powerchoke, and for good reason.
    Buy a Ford
    Buy the Best
    Drive a Mile
    And walk the REST!!!

  • nathan1360:

Is that why ford is the best selling truck for 30 some odd years now?

    But nice try kid.

  • SuperMuise:

hahahahah best selling truck…..I dont give a fuck how many they sold, the point im trying to get across is….ford’s diesel motors are unreliable. Powerchoke has nothing on d-max and cummins, why do you think you hardly see the powerstroke at the track???

    “But nice try kid”

  • nathan1360:

Because people are satisified with Ford so keep investing money into the products they put on the market.

And who buys a diesel to run it down the track? I’d buy a GTO and save money and time but still beat you by 3 seconds.

  • grb1300:

    duramax all the way man

  • edgepitts:

to creamyfilling102 its the turbo glowing red hot, not the manifold

  • martin1234512345:

I hate Duramax’s more than anything and even I think this is a pretty sick pickup. Props to whoever built this. 5 stars

  • tvoidt:

    actually it’s the wastegate tube.

  • edgepitts:

@tvoidt o my bad, looked like the turbo but after watching it again i see what your talking about. is it your truck? truely is nasty hope to pushing #’s like that someday, got myself an 02 lb7

  • tvoidt:

    No, it’s not my truck.

  • NastyGirlGM:

    It’s mine. :)

  • Bigdarian:

@scduramax444 Actualy the cummins being an inline 6 has nothing to do with making more torque, its all in the stroke. If you take a V8 and an L6 that have the same stroke they V8 should make more torque. But idk if you have ever looked at a Cummins 6bt it is a very tall engine. But to prove my point look at locomotives most are V-powered diesel engines and the V blocks take up less room and you can get more pistons with the same stroke. Just thought i would help you get your point across.

  • silvercoke:

@Bigdarian Inline engines provide more torque than V configuration engines. Trains today run on Diesel-Electric configurations, but diesels are not the primary factor in driving the train. Diesels would stall as the primary drive to begin the motion of the train. Diesels help a generator supply a current to the traction motors. An Inline is unnecessary since you want HP over Torque to generate current. Paccar, Cat, and Cummins all use Inline for Semi’s so they can have more torque for towing.

  • Bigdarian:

@silvercoke Well as stated earlier whether an engine is a V or inline block has nothing to do with torque output in itself. And again as stated earlier it all comes down to stroke/bore and many other things if you want to get technical. As far as trains and diesels yes its true they use Electric drive. Now being a Diesel technician myself the main reason most of the big engine manufacturers have gone to inline engines is for Fuel/Emissions reasons.

  • Bigdarian:

@Bigdarian Now to prove my point do you watch any truck pulls? If so then you would know that the Mack E9 (a V8) is in the top of most if not all truck pulling series. Its only real competitors would have to be the Detroit 8v92 and the Caterpillar 3408 both being v8’s themselves. In no way am I trying to bash or discredit Inline engines but the day I see a damn Detroit 60 winning nationals I would have to make a switch to rotary engines lol. Take care and feel free to reply back.

  • jackcass13:

i would give my left nut to even ride in that beast

  • andrewgsb:
