How should I get the other people on my track team to like me?

I’m in 8th grade and I’m on the varisty Track team, and a lot of the girls are pretty nasty towards me. I have a few good friends on the team, but I’m worried that most of them will get cut tomorrow because they aren’t great runners.
I’m outgoing and friendly, but the girls I talk to are always standoffish and cold. I think it might be because I’m younger, but I really can’t help that. If you have any tips, please let me know! Thanks!
