How to deal with this nasty girl?

There is a nasty girl in one of my math classes. My friend is in the class with me. The evil girl never liked me. I don’t know why but it doesn’t matter. All this year so far she has made comments. She said to my friend about me ” well she knows i HATE her, I’m only mean to people I HATE” Its so immature. My friend sits by me and this is constantly staring at us. My friend hates her because of things she has done this year. How do I get this girl to shut up and quit staring? Thanks in advance
I ignore her and never comment back as I don’t want to waste air or time on her
